I looked over iCom's website at icomnetwork.com and found out that they have been installing and/or selling internet kiosks since 3/97. In two years they have installed 200 units nationwide, in 15 different states. That's about 1 every 4 days. I wonder what the limiter to installations is. Perhaps they aren't equipped to build them any faster than that.

They say that so far 350,000 customers have logged over 5.3 million minutes, which is an average of 15 minutes per customer. That's 13,250 minutes per unit per year average, or only $3,312.50 per year per unit in revenue. I think these are the numbers that should be used in any calculations of earnings potential.

Any comments? JNNE's going to have to do a better job than that getting these things out into the public. By the time you subtract the cost of installation, cost of operation, and maintenance, I wonder what the margins really are. I'm assuming JNNE would have to pay some kind of connect charge.

At the current installation rate, if JNNE wants to install 1000 units, it would take 10 years, unless iCom can put them out faster. I don't know for sure if previous analyses reflected these numbers, but if not perhaps they should be re-considered.

The good news is that there seems to be a lot of locations without them!!!
