I'm reminded of a story told of George McGovern, that paragon of government interference. After he left office, he bought a bread and breakfast, or something. He worked at it a couple of years and finally sold it. Why? "I couldn't handle all of the forms the government required us to complete."

Might be apocryphal, but not completely, I think.
