Definitely, we cheer up. If himself didn't have a wife and kids to miss, he'd still be bitching about loneliness--except it would take the form of existential angst. At the risk of provoking total hysteria on this thread, I shall repeat my comments of last fall. I believe in love, having experienced its joys myself. I believe in marriage, which is a very high-level emotional contract between two people that seems to be poorly understood by so many of the people undertaking it. If only one weren't doing it with a man....
