Barry, I was afraid the Abby Cohen might have a change of heart once we hit 10,000 since this was her year end 1999 target(or maybe it was 9800). Happy that she is still very bullish as she can rock this market if she changes her tune to bearishness.
I am glad that Goldman Sachs is going public this summer. At least we know she is a partner and has a lot at steak with a higher DOW. That is Dow 11000 by summer would be OK with her too!!!

I am not suggesting she would raise her estimates or remain bulllish beyond 10,000 just because the firm goes public but it can't hurt!

Re: Abby J.C.'s bullishness

Barry, Not surprised, esp. seeing she graduated from the same great school, Cornell, Big Red, as our soon to be 25 y.o. son, inv. bnkg.(M&A) @ Manhattan firm, where, trust me, life has been good.
Only ? for Abby is the failure of the market to broaden. The Dow is a more highly skewed indicator than others, imo. Lots of new lows
in secondaries, but I still feel Intc will lead the big-cap techs this yr. (Hope Amat and NT can hold their own).

Regards,Royco

P.S. recent postings from John Hull seemed to preface to me that no way was intc going to warn last week, tho' I realized he was not the official to make any statement one way or the other.
