With the lone exception being Biz Week's old man economist, Bill Wolman, who, BTW, I think deserves beatification while still living! ....
I've always found that if I want to really know what is going on here stateside, I have to go outside our case-hardened steel-wool spun cage and get the news from overseas.

Tis why I'm so delighted to see Jochen and Baldur and THC and others posting on GPM!!! Long live the 'net...until at least I'm safely hidden pre-Jan 1, 2000(grin)

This October 22, 1998 article outlines very briefly how Y2K problems could impact the supply and trading of metals, including I would imagine, gold and silver. Interesting.
