Reviewed some of the earlier 3 COM FC announcements. Things must be going well for them. It looks like they will quickly move from compatibility with just a few vendors to more and more. Parts of The earlier announcement............. As the 3Com StorageConnect Compatibility Program continues to expand, 3Com has formed solid relationships with several storage industry leaders to speed the delivery of a few critical SAN applications to end users. These Integration Alliances with CLARiiON, Legato and MTI will result in high-performance SAN solutions that address LAN free backup, High Availability RAID and data consolidation. 3Com has already started outreach to a number of storage equipment vendors and ISVs to participate in 3Com's StorageConnect Compatibility Program. The first participants include the CLARiiON Advanced Storage Division of Data General Corporation, Legato Systems Inc., and MTI Technology Corporation.
