Dennis, I think you are quite correct with the "last hurrah" comment. I have noticed industry's captain attempting such time and time again, two that come to mind are Amdhal with Trilogy, and the former Chairman of Cray who went to PMAT (later TRKN) and in an effort to make it a big semi cap company killed it with the acquisition of Electrotech (trading at 1/8 or so now).
