1. Hot Subjects is accessed by the "Hot" label at the top of the page
SI Messages
Inbox (1) | Folders Bookmarks
Subjects | People Hot Subjects
Hot | New Subjects Preferences
Options | Profile

When you hit it you get to this url:
techstocks.com

At the bottom of this page it says:

Score is calculated from a trend analysis formula of bookmarks and posting activity.
The percentage score is roughly the increase in posting activity and bookmarking
in the last 24 hours (vs. the last 7 days).

Which is kind of vague language. I notice now that GNET thread has fallen to third place, which happens if the active posting subsides and other threads become more active.

2. As far as how many posts you have:

Go to this page which is your profile.

And notice the middle of the top of the page it says Bookmark this Profile When you bookmark a profile, you can access your people marks under the "People" item at the top of the SI page and it shows people and how many posts they have and how many new posts they have that you haven't read.

I have you bookmarked and it shows now:

Also, like you can bookmark people you can bookmark threads that you want to follow. It says "Bookmark this subject" under each post and at the bottom of the page when you are looking at an entire thread. It makes for quicker access and keeps a pointer where you are in your reading.
