yea, it was both awful and quite a surprise (to me at least)... HOWEVER, if we truly are getting near an inflection point next week... surprises will abound for traders. Stocks could actually fall and gold could rise... shock of all shocks???? You know as well as I do that at turning points, the herd is caught going the wrong way when nature begins to take her course...

if stocks begin to decline and gold fails to break down.... things could get a little silly in both mkts, although going in different directions -g-
