El: Lewis left London with his Mum when he was 12. I'm not sure if he was born here or in Jamaica. His Mum is from Jamaica. He won a medal for Canada in the Olympics. He considers himself British and spends a lot of time in Britain and is part of the British show-biz community. He does a lot of charity work in Britain. There were 7,000 British supporters at the fight who had flown over for it. He maintains a home in Canada and spends a lot of training time in the States.

PS The British consider him British and were getting very excited at the thought of the first undisputed world champion this century.
