Paul, You are right---scraps for the fireplace. Did you see the notice at the bottom of the article about the newspapers affiliations to anti-MSFT groups?
We should get lots of these articles for a long time.

Dan Gillmore is like a bad analyst. He always comments on things after the fact with some extreme postion.

2 years ago when Apple was in such bad shape after Amelio left (before Jobs), Gillmore was calling for Apple to shut its doors, etc. An ok point of view I suppose, but since Amelio was only in the top post for a year why not make the call a little earlier.

Anyway Gillmore annoys me, because he doesn't seem to know much and he still gets quoted all the time - maybe he and Michael Murphy were separated at birth or something.

And this Gillmor character calls Gates arrogant? I find it to be the epitome of arrogance when someone decides to speak for everyone. Seems like he has a monopoly on public opinion - maybe the DOJ should investigate that...
