Frost Byte,

I don't think it would make a lot of sense for AOL to purchase any e-tailers. I think it would make a lot of sense for AOL to put in links, advertise and collect ad revenue and a piece of the action on every sale. That way, they assume no inventory risk, take on no additional infrastructure risk, and don't dilute their focus. I'd like AOL to be the "toll collector on the information highway." I would be unhappy to see AOL make any such bids.
