John-- Very impressive analysis. What about revenue per employee--
Do you think that might be another factor ?? Productivity ??

Are the LU figures based on the LU+ASND merger or just LU as it now stands? How will CSCO compare to LU/ASND merger? Will the merger challenge CSCO's leadership?

John, a simple question for you. If you have enough money to buy either LU+NT or just CSCO, what's your decision going to be? Assumed they're selling at their current mkt cap.

LU+NT have 5 times the revenue of CSCO.
LU+NT generates 3 times the profit of CSCO.
And LU+NT pay dividend.

For the long run, LU has Bell Labs, NT has their Bell Northern Research labs, their ASIC/silicon foundrys and many many patents. And not to mention the large installed base of 4E/5E and the DMS switches.

So, imo, csco is overpriced now.

John, I believe the *quality* of the discussion that you politely
asked for, has justified your trepidation. You got back a question
and a repost of the self-quote.

Continue to post your comparisons and rational analyses. Thanx
