Bill, It must be the absence of shipping that keeps all those chips stacked up at Intel's warehouses. <g> The Tech Review only claims there are 5 million in inventory. Actually, I think Earlie and gang are overly pessimistic. Those 5 million mpcs will disappear immediately when Dell advertises its new workstation with 5 million PIIIs for the same price as a Compaq with just 2 1/2 million PIIIs. <vbg>
