William,
Hi!!!

RE: From Barron's..." Even short sellers have largely given up. The short interest in Dell was 116 million shares in October when the stock sold at $25. Now, with the stock at $43 and with indications of a marked slowdown in growth, the short positionis only 48 million." Point of article: that some have
become too complacent with big cap.

Thanks for the note...I don't read Barron's anymore...for a number of reasons...but, my dad still does...he keeps me abreast of the short interest...I hate the math and he loves it...he charts and sends me his opinions almost daily...I mail him and entire priority mail full of posts of this thread...so far it's worked...between the two of us we have a few shares...he is sneaking up on me...broke him down in June of 97...he couldn't stand to have his obnoxious son tripling in such a short time...he sold his long long long position in XON and some MRK...ever since he has owned it he has charted it with great enthusiasm...every now and then he calls complains some...it seems he needs more paper ....his graph on DELL is off the last piece of paper...something that took decades with XON... :o)

Thanks again...you'd have to be a fool to short DELL...as Sig has always said: "You can make a small fortune shorting DELL..Just make sure you start with a very very very large fortune..."
