So, your point is that iomega is doomed. Right? gotcha. I think every body got your point. There, I saved all the labor and expense that you go through to get every body scared? BTW are you still suffering from your iomega loss back in 1996? give it a rest man, heal yourself.

regards.

PS if iomega gets back to 3. I will buy some shares. And no, I will not hold long.

>> .... great advantage of Castlewood Orb's tremendous price advantage over Iomega's Painfully expensive Jaz rip-off. In fact, fixed hard drives cannot beat 22 Gigs for $300. Not even close. Orb is even more cost-effective than CD-RW disks.

In fact, Castlewood Orb is the most cost-efficient means of re-writeable disk storage EVER. What can Iomega do? Whatever action they take, it almost certainly means lower margins. And as a result, bigger losses. <<<

Cost conscious guy like me definitely finds it a huge advantage. Perhaps I am one of the very select few of SI members and PC users who is cost conscious.

Good to see many visitors to this thread are realizing what impact this has and will have on IOM bottom line for the next several quarters. If IOM disk and drives prices were dropped only 25%-30%, that's utmost severe cut to any present and future net earnings. Sometimes the simplest math and most fundamental accounting can be too dificult to comprehend.

Competition is a breadth of fresh air, good for the end users and consumers.
