Nothing OT on this thread, so I'll repost:
Jack Clarke says, "Off topic, so private message. Whatever happened to Lee Hazelwood? I never heard much of his stuff, but I seem to remember a very rich voice. I think it was on a duet with Nancy Sinatra."

Yup, that was Lee & Nancy -- several hits back in the day, my favorites being 'Sand' and 'Jackson', though their big hit ('Some Velvet Morning') is excellent, too. Lee started out as a DJ in Phoenix, made his mark as a producer (Duane Eddy), had some hits with Nancy, and made a bunch (really a lot) of odd solo records.

Some time back, he toured with Nancy. He was great; though his voice is now more gravelly, it's awfully impressive, and even deeper and fuller than before. Quite a show for a 70-year old.

A friend of mine rephrased that old saw,.....
"Some of us have good taste, and those that don't, don't even know that they don't".

My kids think I'm from the ice age as I think "rap" is what our pal "Fleck" writes about the market. (g)
