If you don't have enough $$$$ to participate in BRK.A and BRK.B's
next run to the stars, may I suggest a good mutual fund proxy:
Legg-Mason Value Trust (LMVTX)
Manager Wm. Miller has just had the wisdom to add BRK.A to his
portfolio by way of the General Re acquistion.
BRK.A is now #4 in the portfolio.
I own LMVTX, so I am not a "Blue-Blood Berkie". I guess I'm a
"Back-Door Berkie".
Here are LMVTX's top holdings:
AOL,DELL,Chase Bank, BRK.A,CPQ,FNM,IBM,Citigroup,WCOM-MCI
Legg-Mason also has another fund called, "The Focus Trust".
The manager is Robert Hagestrom who co-authored Warren Buffett's
book.
He tries to do what "The Great One" does.
It helps to have BRK as your #1 holding, of course.
His top holdings: BRK.A, AOL,FNM,Am Exp, Citigroup.
You can find out more about these funds at Legg-Mason's web-site.
I'm no professional. I'm just a VERY satisfied customer.
I offer this info so that people who don't have big piles
of money can still participate in our little BRK Club.
LMVTX sells for 67.00 per share and Focus is around 27.00.
BRK Rocks !!!!!
