Well, I hope we don't wind up in the same bag as Unisys. Two big companies in trouble that merged to make...one giant company in trouble. This proves Galileo right again. Two giant dinosaurs will fall at the same rate of speed even if they are tied together.

Oracle's ads have never been about anything but Larry. See Larry by the big computer. See Larry on the yacht. See Larry as a zen master. See Larry threaten to buy Apple. See Larry brush his teeth .... See Larry's stock gets whacked.

AT&Ts got a solution for Worldnet. They will give it to @Home or hand it off to the new TCI division they are making. Anyhow, Armstrong is not gonna carry that lodestone around much longer.

IBM is the best because they give a clear simple image. We are box makers and e-commerce providers. Buy from IBM and we will have your business on the internet in a second. You will be making money with shopping carts, etc. Also, we love Linux. We sell servers with Linux, Apache and DB2 all loaded and ready to go. OS for free. No seat license to worry about. We also provide support for everything - for a price, of course (which is where we will make tons of money).

John:

>I am not a fan of Compaq's new ad compaign...the music is creepy...

Have you telephoned any of Compaq's numbers to purchase a computer and listened to that music while on hold? Dreadful. I do not know what music genre it is, maybe electronic (?), but all it does is induce stress--exactly what someone does not need while on hold. It is by far the worst music I have ever heard when waiting for my call to be answered by a human. Hands down, the worst.
