JMD-

I have no doubt George had valuable insights and opinions on the process and technology. What Brinkley wrote was a detailed history of the many primary players. Certainly individual perspective and possibly politics skew ANY analysis and synthesis. I both greatly respect Brinkley's contribution and look forward to hearing George's opinion on and involvement in this history. My point is that the battle was purportedly not at all a "Dem-analog" vs "Repub-digital" battle as has been portrayed here.

IMO, Brinkley presented a very detailed and well-written history of the Machiavellian HDTV saga without politicizing it.
