Oscar, It is a risky way unless your portfolio matches the index closely. I would prefer to buy out of the money puts on it, and then you still make money if the market moves up. And I would really prefer getting rid of the tech stocks and buying the calls in a 90/10, but there may be tax reasons why you don't want to do that. See techstocks.com.
