Zeke- A more adaquate comparison of data would not include a comparison to October '98....Many stocks exploded up 100% in less than 3 months from the lows...Deeply oversold (i hate that term, but I'll use it anyway) period......Comparing the short interest in Dell to other periods (beside October 98) as well should give a better indication of current bullish/bearishness of the short interest situation

Zeke,
Hi!!!

RE: People are misinterpreting the short interest. A decrease of that size is very bearish, because there are fewer traders/institutions who
will want to buy/cover.

Possible...but, who wants to short this stock??

Best, Kemble
