Frankly, Bill, you might be right in shorting VLNC. However, your comment, "There's always *some* value there...cash in the bank, or other assets that can be liquidated" shows that you haven't done your homework. This stock could easily go to 0 if there is no PO, the equity holders could be wiped out. It is a gamble either way. Personally, I am long the stock, have been so since shortly after the heavy insider buying of last fall, and lightened up a little this past winter to get most, though not all, of my initial investment back, playing with "bank" money for now. The stock could be a home run if they can mass produce the battery that they have been talking about. Al Shugart has made me money in SEG and SNDK, I'm betting that following his example here will make me a little more.
