The archaeological finds at Nag Hammadi have been authenticated, Sidney. I would suggest you look them up on the web, or in the Catholic Encyclopedia or something. There were many different kinds of people who were Jesus' followers, and wrote down what he actually said while he was alive, or soon after his death. Then they were either hidden as treasures, or to be protected from followers who had different opinions of who Jesus really was. That is what makes Thomas' gospel very special. However, his sayings are disturbing not only because some of them seem very Buddhist, but because he says things that are confusing and contradictory as well.

Try reading this all the way through, and maybe it will make sense to you. Thomas was a follower of Jesus, who wrote down directly what Jesus said:
