Yeh, this is the guy that is supposed to have on-board geometry. If they can integrate that in that timeframe I'd be amazed. Considering that 3dfx has been working on Rampage for forever it seems like, I can only think of a few reasons for this:

1) NV10 doesn't have anywhere near the features of Rampage.
2) NVIDIA is just plain faster to market than 3dfx (which I can accept for things like 32-bit rendering, but geometry should be much more complex).
3) 3dfx has pissed away their technological lead.

There is a big turnover at TDFX in the engineering team.
They lost their VP of engineering + lots more.
I just can not see them to execute as well as NVDA.
