their IR dept. is just as bad. after numerous calls and messages left, i finally got a call back from IR a couple weeks ago. he said he would make sure an investor package was in the mail to me. i'm still waiting. i'm expecting one of those "mail us $50 and send this letter to 20 of your friends" kind of "investor packages".

Funny. Wcti's revenue will come from advertising yet Gardenman couldn't get a timely response back from the company. Hmmmmm.

Hmmm. Doesn't sound like great customer service, huh? I agree. In fact, I would expect them to comp anyone who wants to put up advertising at this stage in their development...

I suggest you call WCTI directly. I have always been able to get through. Tim Riker, their VP of Development, was talking to me a month ago about getting ad banners. He is not the guy you should talk to, but you may want to mention his name. Ken Bell, the CFO, is another person--he should be interested in any revenue. Check out their Web page for the name of their VP of Sales.

I hope that this is just some goof-up on one employees part and not endemic to the company. It's easy to make mistakes like this, but they should get corrected right away...

Garden Man: I read your post and the concerns of doc as well. You said:

<<A couple of weeks ago I requested pricing for banner advertising for my site, auditel.com on spyhop.com and finally got a response back last with no details but instructing me (as the potential customer) to call on of their sales guys. Well I called him on Monday and again on Wednesday and no call back. Don't think this is the way a sales organization should operate, do you? Come Dan Lunt, what's up? >>

I sent an email to Brett Bell on this one. He got back the same day saying there was no record of your request anywhere. Perhaps you talked to the wrong person, perhaps someone dropped the ball. I am assuming you are legit and that you actually did try to contact them. In any event, Brett got in contact with the Marketing Director and he sent me an email back the next day. Here it is:

"Brett Bell, our Investor Relations Coordinator, forwarded a message to me that you had questions regarding advertising on our site. Though we are refining our inventory and pricing model while the site is in "beta," I'd be glad to discuss your needs and answer any questions you have.

Thanks for your interest in Spyhop. I look forward to hooking up with you.

Regards,
Mike Schouten
Marketing Director

Hope this helps. Funny, I had NO PROBLEM in getting to the bottom of this. Did you try and call them again? Maybe the matter is already resolved...

Oh yes, I did follow up on Doc's concern on the investor kits. The matter has been resolved, accornding to Brett. I didn't get into specifics, but I assume that means they were mailed out. Hmmm. I wonder if Doc got it and if he did, would he be as ready to admit as such as he was to complain that he didn't. In any event, a quick email or call to Brett always gets me the info I need.

I suggest we not be so quick to dump all over these guys without making a little effort. These weren't my issues but 10 minutes of email and phone calls got me results...
