Hi JC! I think you can download Linux for free. We heard from friends in Asia that if you wanted LINUX on CD it was around $50.00, but they purchased their CD several years ago.

Thanks very much for up-to-date information because I fear we will have to buy new PC for year 2000 if we want to do our taxes and keep track of our bank accounts. :(

It's too early to know what we will buy but I gather the office suite for $88.00 included tools and instruction book.
