The key may be not to buy companies like ORCL and CPQ that over the past two years seem to have the same recurring problems and excuses. You are a good investor, you can beat the S&P. As for QQQ if you own MSFT, DELL, CSCO and INTC you have 45% of what comprises QQQ. Pick WCOM and a couple others that should outperform and don't get ORCL and CPQ and you will beat the QQQ as well. Just a thought
