StockHawk,

That was absolutely the BEST and most informative series of posts on individual stock analysis, I have seen in two years on SI.. Anybody
that makes money or even loses money from that list should buy you
a dinner and drinks and acknowledge it over cyberspace.

This is what SI SHOULD be about.. Thank You so much..

GOOD LUCK......Coug

StockHawk,

I owe you a dinner already.. I bought some NESY near the open for 38 5/8.. Went past 40.. As I understood your post, it made a mil
on 12 mil rev..

Wanted ONXS, but just watched it leap ahead.. Came back quite a bit
so am just watching..

Thanks again.. I wouldn't of had a clue on NESY until after the fact..

Stockhawk and others,

IPO's

I am very impressed with this effort to organize the recent IPOs. I read them with great interest. I bought WEBT today and was glad to see this one included.

I do have a question on the 25 day count. WEBT started selling on 2-19 so if you were to count 25 days starting on the 20th, the date is Mar 16th not the 29th as listed. Can you define the count process?

Thanks again for the fine data.

zora

I have to congratulate you on a great post. I admire your attention to details. I also think that the amount of shares offered is very important. I have always assumed that 50% of the offering is in truly "long term" hands. So if the IPO was 3M shares we are then only dealing with 1.5M in the true "float". So, IMO, the stocks that will move the most are going to be: Strong Underwriter, Small Float, Net based, NASDAQ. Because of the quite period some good prospects get lost in the shuffle and those are the ones to really track as they may be sleepers. I have also noticed that they will appear on CNBC right after the quite period is up, probably at the underwriters encouragement and guidance. OXNS got a huge boost again today. There is definitely a pattern here and it should continue because of the legal requirements involved. The fly in the ointment will be the quality of the initial coverage when it starts: Big difference between "strong buy" and "accumulate" for instance. I will wait to trade when I see the level of coverage. If stock has run up on anticipation and then "moderate" coverage could cause a nasty little drop of 2/3 points real quick.

IMO,
Steve Davis
