The more traditional churches would considered both heresy and schism to be grave sins, one against faith and the other against charity. Anyone who set his opinions against the considered doctrines of the church would have been considered guilty of one or both. How can there be Christian unity if everyone gets to make it up for themselves?

On the other hand I believe we are born into this relationship and you folks electing Popes and such to take responsibility for you, are in denial. No wonder you are afraid of the truth.
