I could understand how Michelle may have been duped. But The Learning Channel? Broadcast to millions? And everyone takes it for "authoritive source".

"But I saw it on TV".

But still, I wonder if maybe Michelle somehow misunderstood large segments of whatever she was watching.

Dwight, I just thought of an inanity you might appreciate. I once dated a girl in college who told me that her mother's boyfriend, a history professor, had told her in no uncertain terms that Jesus was sired by a Roman centurion. She then dug out a book with a 16th century Italian crucifixion, and pointed out the centurion at the foot of the cross as his father. She seemed to be confused when I noted that the painting was neither a photograph, nor even contemporaneous, and when I told her that her mother's boyfriend had not one shred of evidence about paternity. She reiterated that the painting was the proof! As you may guess, we had few dates...
