I haven't used ARCA in several months and have used ISLD and Selectnet. IF I had to use ARCA.......I'd start using the telephone to place orders. ARCA is a costly waste of time and money.

Although scanshift can beat a dead horse deader than anybody I know, he does offer sound advice.

To put such effort into your last post appears to be an indication of more than just casual involvement with MB/TNT/TAL...etc.

Save your response...I'm out of here.

Shoot

Funk or Ross Ditlove or who ever it may be, the bottom line comes down to volume and speed. Look at Island volume and speed, then look at the other three ECN's with more volume then Archipelago and then look at Archipelago. Archipelago is not an industry leader and the technology is lousy compared to the competition.

Why beat a dead horse? Well I have learned a tremendous amount of information from new, old and former MB Traders every week, and thus it is worth it to put some posts out to continue the learning process. Please keep those private messages coming.

It was pointed out that FUNK had the first post on this thread. Keep hyping away; when new traders get burned by Archipelago they will learn their lesson the hard way.

hello, funk

IMO.. this place is turning into a sick joke..
i used to come here to listen to intelligent conversations of intelligent people, tips, help on using services/software, etc.

IMHO.. the name of this thread is still "MB Trading" and i think if some people don't like the service THAT much... there's plenty of other places to BS...

i wish SI finally came up with some filtering capability.. kinda "put these people in my junk mail list"...

in the mean time ...i think.. the only way to deal with all those messages/people with bad mouth and the only goal in their lives to accuse everything and everybody of their own mistakes.. is to IGNORE them!!!

JUST IRNORE them, funk... you will never change their mind... and what for..
...can COST YOU MONEY? ... who cares.. if a person is so.. silly to jump into conclusions after just reading some messages without even trying to understand how his tools work... than it's his own problem..
...i like the phrase someone posted not long ago.. "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear"...
i think if anybody in ANY business wants to succeed, he needs to do research, spend time and money on learning and use his own brains.. and take it step by step..

.. besides if someone thinks some execution route is slow..
1. stop using it and stop whining...
2. maybe it's not the route that is slow... maybe the time you decide to enter is not right.. NOT a single route will get you out of the plunging stock quickly...

sorry for the lengthy message.
..understand you completely.. coudn't take it anymore myself..
..but i think it's wise just to ignore them from now on.. not worth it.. waste of time

have a good day/week and good trading.

vadim.
