Richard,

I'm not sure that I understand your question. All chart intervals end with the latest data.

Perhaps you are referring to the moving average intervals or the bollinger band averaging intervals. I don't know what they are on the chart I have been using for a quick look at the XAU and it doesn't seem to be working for me this evening. Actually my question concerning these parameters was stimulated more by my use of the charting provided by Stockwatch where everything can be selected. As you are no doubt aware, the result is very dependent upon the values selected. I haven't spent much time digging but I haven't seen a statistically solid basis for any particular values. Stockwatch mentions (and I've seen the same thing elsewhere) values that are most frequently used but the statements aren't backed up with convincing data. I'm sure it exists, but I haven't seen it - my fault.

More importantly, except for the delay in downloading the info for the site, I like yours better and I notice tonight that we had a very bullish candle stick pattern develop today and that it bounced off the lower bollinger band. If it moves up significantly tomorrow, I might begin to pay more attention to the indicators.

Cheers,
Larry
