And I was saying that H&Q's estimate was old news, one of timely convenience, as it were.

No question about it, ORCL's crash on Friday was a rush to judgement, an opportunity for some insiders to make a killing. 100,000,000 shares is big wampum, even at today's discount rates, and the spread irresistible to volatility sharks and arbs.

While ORCL made a solid number IMHO, what really impresses me is that ORCL maintained its profit margins into the bargain. Some CEOs would have traded margin for revenue, but Ellison, God Bless em, didn't fall into that trap.
