Thank you for the information. My discussions with the manufacturer have yielded me assurance that they will stand behind their computer, whether its in the form of a credit, replacement or repair.

My request is going forward to have them build a new one. I've ordered a cd recorder (Mitsumi), Soundblaster Live card and a Matrox Productiva G100 graphics card. I suppose I'll lose out by not being properly reimbursed for these cards, since the original system came with video/audio on board. But I'm very unhappy with the sound output. The machine I upgraded from had the lowly Soundblaster 16 card from 1995 and it was far superior.

When these parts come in, I'll be heading back to the manufacturer with pc in one hand, and the invoice, orignal driver cd's and booklets in the other.

When I had mentioned to one of their reps that I started a thread on a website about the freezing problem, his curiosity became greater (him being in the tech dept.) and I think they are looking forward to getting the pc back to further their education & to solve the problem that already escaped their detection two times and counting!
