"I just look at the floors of brokers, analysts, bankers and traders filling the downtown buildings... if they can't do it, what makes me think I can?..."

I would ask, What system(s) do they use? How proficient are they in using their systems?

There must be some basis for their stock selection. What is it?

I see little reason why they would do any better than some of the best traders here in this thread. In fact, the best traders represented here should outperform, because their trading environment and motivation is probably a notch or two higher than those folks in the downtown offices.

Just my opinion.

bdog,

all moving averages i use are exponential, except for 200 day which i use simple(only because of what i perceive is the somewhat self fulling standard by the so called experts).

Rut (imo) needs to take out about 403. resent closing high 401.08. resent intra day high was 403.37. 50 day ema is 402.68. 200 Dma is 402.40.

I like looking at short term daily charts with 3, 9, & 50emas
and longer term daily charts with 5, 13, 21,& 50 emas, 200 dma
