Ah ha! You are right! Completely slipped my mind. Isn't the Excel - equipment maker somewhere in Massachusetts? I guess the IXC deal is with Excel the telecom service provider - selling model similar to Amway - multi-level marketing. Went from $0 to over $1 billion in record time. However, as I figured, they are playing in a shrinking margin game.

What blows my mind is how many of these companies spring up with short term opportunity plans. (Another perfect example is IDT). There's nothing wrong with that. however, Wall Street NEVER seems to pick up on that and creates valuations for well into the future. Some of these companies manage to use their short-term success to change their business model (like IDT), and then there are those like Telegroup who crash and burn. My problem is that I tend to go for the long term plan (or sound exit strategy) and tend to miss out on the short term risers.
