CMGI's (CMGI) Internet portfolio is now worth more than $1.5 billion vs. $195 million in July, said Peter Mills, general partner in the company's investment arm @Ventures. "We're not in-and-out players," Mills said, referring to CMGI's strategy to hold on to company shares after they go public. CMGI will be the third largest shareholder of Yahoo! after its merger with Geocities goes through. Several companies that CMGI has invested in are currently mulling IPOs, including Raging Bull, an online community site providing financial information, and Ancestry.com, which allows people to track their genealogy.
