ROCKETMAN,

Thanks alot again. So based on 9 occurances, once the "THOUSAND MARK" was reached, the DOW only gained about 1.42% within the month.

That is not a good support for those who feel that the market will zoom up substantially once the market hits 10,000. Also keep in mind that some of them are also saying that once 10,000 the market will zoom and which will also improve the market internals significantly.

Agreed. For instance, if the "look ahead" time interval is 16 years, the net gain would range from -23% (1966 to 1982) to +1200% (1982 to 1999).
