Zeev, Rich, Larry, Fred -
The fact that the open position in options decreased by 869 does NOT mean that someone exercised them. That MAY be the case, but many options, I would think most, are never exercised, but go out of existence with a sell to close or buy to close order. I don't know if there is a way for the guy on the street to know if an option is exercised of closed without exercise.
