Re: Dell and Naturally speaking.

There are mixed reviews of compatability of Naturally speaking with the Inspiron 7000. Some have reported that while it works under battery operation, there is a degredation in accuracy when using the AC. I was also told that using a windjammer PC card would also improve voice recognition when using the notebook. With desktops, the Turtle beach montego 320 voice card (optional with the desktops) offers superior regognition.

Now for the good news/bad news:

Good news: Just ordered a dell pentium III loaded to the gills (or should I say cooling fan slits).

Bad news: After waiting and going thru 2 splits, I was compelled by the hysterics of a brother in law who became the profit of doom and was telling me to seel dell when it was tripping over itself last week. In a moment of weakness, I succumbed to the hysterics and dumped 19 K of shares at 44. Only to suffer from acute withdrawal symptoms (is there a Dell rehab?) and picked it back up at 43 3/4, only to sell it again during the temporary free fall last week (while it appeared to be a short free fall- it felt like forever when watching it it go down second by second (not good for the system). Dorene, you're right! Never sell dell. Still holding on to 8 K of dell (and looking to pick up more) and 120 contracts of the May 60's. Now all I've got to do is to figure out what to do with these may 60's. Any suggestions?

The moral of this story is:

Never sell dell (unless you want to buy some AOL)!
Never listen to a brother in law!

Best of luck to all.

BTW: a word of caution to those considering ordering Dragon dictate naturally speaking with a 200 mhz pentium processor or slower. Don't use version 3, it'll turn your computer into molasses. Stick to version 2, or buy a new computer.

Best of luck to all.
