The rally is ahead of schedule. The nattering nabobs who normally come out of the woodwork after the meeting are out with the pre-announcement. These reporters are commenting on vagueness causing doubt. Duh!! The meeting hasn't occurred yet! Also, does anyone remember reading anything about any additional cuts from Venezuala?

There is also the issue of their "selective" research. Nothing about the recovering world demand, the EIA admission of improper forecasting, mere token mention of the political problems low oil prices have caused for producers, and no mention of how highly motivated producers were this time around.

This article belongs on the editorial page of the paper, if it belongs there at all.

Re: WSJ Article
Hi Jacob, When I followed AMAT I always made a point of reading your posts.

I'd be interested in reading your thoughts on the Drillers and Oil Service in general now, since I think it would provide the point of view of a smart investor who is (I assume) not a long-time follower of this sector.

Also,
---How much influence do you think an article like this in the WSJ has?
---When you read it, did it seem objective and well-considered to you?

Regards,
diana
