Aramaic, the "Hebrew of the day" that you refer to, was the common language of the Jews in Israel, as was Greek which was the international language of its day. The only NT books where Aramaic or Hebrew is suggested by reasonable scholars as the original language are Matthew and Hebrews. Obviously there are no Aramaic-Hebrew copies as all ancient NT manuscripts are in Greek.

By contrast, the OT, originally written in Hebrew, began to be translated into Greek by Jewish scholars circa 285 b.c. That Greek version is called the "Septuagint".
