I had a hearty Stock Market Chuckle yesterday, thanks to Bob Pisani, who never fails to make me laugh. After the market closed, he made a point of saying that he was simply baffled at why the Dow would not go above 10,000.

He had to talk to some traders (he always asks "the traders", they Know The Real
Truth) and I guess one of them explained to him that the reason might be because some
people with a lot of stock had sell orders out when the Dow touched 10,000.

I could just see him trying to make sense of this. Why on earth would anyone sell now?
Perhaps at some distant point in the future, Bob will figure out that some people, the
people that bought T 5 years ago and have free LU and some free ASND for example, are selling stock to these guys that know the market is going to go to 15,000 next week on Tuesday morning.

My mind drifts back to the very first time I saw Bob on CNBC. He was at the CBOE,
reporting live, and he called it the "Chicago Board of Exchange".

About 5 of the traders had their laser pointers on Bob's tie while he was talking, and Bob didn't know it. It was Extra Deluxe Funny.

I wish I had it on tape.

(I'm sure Bob is a nice guy; nothing personal.)
