VISVX is a better choice, IMO. Read "Stocks for the Long Run" by Jeremy Siegel about how small-cap value stocks beat just about every other index in the longer run.

Les, re small cap funds

I wouldn't quite say they're similarly down

VISGX ytd down 8.3%
MNMCX ytd down 13.6%

That POSCX is interesting and is an example of why I might open an account with Jack White who has these and other leveraged funds like in ProFunds available. At the moment though being in a leveraged small cap fund might be adding insult to injury.
