In February, OneCore completed a $7.5 million round of venture funding. New investors include @Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of CMGI, Inc. (NASDAQ:CMGI - news) and an early backer of Internet leaders like Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS - news) and GeoCities (NASDAQ:GCTY - news).

''Now we've got the resources to aggressively market and expand our business,'' said Jack Littman-Quinn, OneCore's chief executive officer. ''Our new name better reflects the service we provide and our nationwide capabilities. With OneCore, small-business owners have access to services typically afforded only large corporations.''

With a single user ID and password, small-business owners and managers can select from Scudder Kemper and Federated money-market funds to house their cash, make electronic bill payments through Checkfree Corp., submit payroll through Computer Resources, Inc., and set up 401(k) retirement plans through OneCore Securities, Inc., which provides a menu of more than 30 well known, no-load mutual funds.
