EFAX -- One stupid question, please.

Clearly, EFAX isn't getting valued on its profitless MF printer-driver business. Its new business model is signups for free fax->email service. Build up 5+ million subscribers, then sell the eyeballs, just like Hotmail, for advertising revenue, right?

The difference is Hotmail gave out email addresses, of which there are an unlimited number. On the other hand, doesn't EFAX have to give out a unique 10 digit phone number to each subscriber? Maybe someone who knows the telco biz can correct me, but phone numbers are in tight supply here, and you have to pay phone companies to get 'em.

How can EFAX gain control 5+ million phone numbers for free?

Alan

Brown and company called in all their short positions due to a computer glitch. That marked the bottom near 12:30. If it doesnt break the high, we are in great shape.
