vestor,

"OSI up over $3. at this time...... Is it the upcoming IPO or anticipation of the numbers for next Qtr.?.... or any other news?"

I think that there are several factors at play.

1. The IPO filing has established that the NETSilicon part of Osicom alone is close to $18 or $19. That means that the stock is simply too cheap to be believable. So some action represents the basic price correction.

2. The anticipation of IPO in itself has to be a factor with a first class underwriter like DRW.

3. The GigaMux sales during this years were suggested to be over $100 mil. in this fiscal year during the conference call. This may sound a lot, but only represents 10% of metro DWDM market size during this year. That must have excited some buyers.

4. The company indicated during the cc that they are expecting to bring in at least 5 new GigaMux customer each quarter. There could be an anticipation of the news for those customers.

5. Finally, there are well over a million shares short, and a lot of options getting close to be excercised. This has to be a factor too as David Wise has suggested.

So, there are a lot of reason for what is happening to the stock price. If you consider what Nortel paid for Cambrian, and what CIEN paid for those two companies announced today, FIBR is cheap even at $50.

Divid, looks like the fun has finally started. Enjoy!
