I agree with the fellow who posted right after you. I liked 3COM at $29, I trebled down at $25. Say what one will about Eric, 3COM management, CISCO, and all the rest....good grief! This is a multi-billion dollar, profitable, successful company with strong R&D, a pretty good franchise, solid global marketing, strong industry alliances, and a number of products & services that will be in demand as far as one can see. I don't pay much attention to the constant bitching about 3COM on SI. I suspect it comes from callow business majors with too much time on their hands, day traders, and perhaps a few investors who were caught buying at the high water mark. I feel bad for this last group -- been there, done that -- but as for the rest it's just noise. It will go away over the next three or four quarters, if not sooner.

Anyone: What is the perceived downside risk at this level.?

Also what is the earliest date we may see COMS breakout.?

Thanks.
