VISX is down this morning because of a PW downgrade. The following is an excerpt

VISX: Downgrading to Neutral on Price
of $90-95 within the last few trading days. At these levels, we believe the
stock may be vulnerable to profit taking.

* After meeting with VISX management on March 12, our sense is that business
fundamentals remain particularly healthy. We continue to look for the company
to have an excellent first-quarter showing ($0.54 versus $0.23 a year ago),
reflecting strong equipment sales and robust license fee revenue.

* Despite our downgrade, we remain very bullish on the prospects for the LVC
industry and believe that VISX is extremely well positioned to leverage its
growth. Domestically, we continue to look for the industry to perform about
800,000 LVC procedures in 1999 and 1.1-1.2 million procedures next year.
